Fransk läkare och professor vid Collège de France. Ledamot av Franska vetenskapsakademin. Keisarinnans i Ryssland Lifmedicus. 1769 utsågs han till inspektör över franska marinens sjukhus och hade som medinspektör sin bror Antoine Poissonnier-Desperrières.
